Saudi Comedat Company Ltd.

Saudi Comedat is a contract mining company formed in 2007 between CMCI (Saudi Arabia) and two international contracting and mining companies.

Saudi Comedat combines the Contract Mining expertise and track records of Comedat (Jordan), and Kier (U.K.) coupled with CMCI’s strategic business alliance within Saudi Arabia. This rare offering of in-house contract mining experience (Jordan Comedat and Kier PLC) coupled with the strategic business interests of CMCI allows SAUDI COMEDAT to offer complete solutions for the delivery of a wide range of innovative mining schemes and contract mining projects.

Saudi Comedat has established itself as the contractor of choice for Open Pit Mining in Saudi Arabia. They offer complete mining services including design, planning the mine operations, construction of the mine infrastructure and environmental mitigation measures in remote and challenging locations. In 2007 the company was awarded the contract to exploit the Al Jalamid Phosphate deposit on behalf of Ma’aden.

The initial contract for eight years entails removing overlying limestone waste in order to recover 39 million cubic meters of phosphate.

SAUDI COMEDAT has established the first National Vocational Qualification Academy in Saudi Arabia. NVQ Academy offers a unique opportunity to obtain world renowned training within the mining industry. In addition to training and general employment, SAUDI COMEDAT is committed to establishing a supply chain within the business community of Saudi Arabia, and is proud of its record of spending 80% of all out goings locally.

The company is committed to excellence in its approach to project and service delivery, focusing on the needs of its clients, providing the highest standards of service, quality, safety, social responsibility and environmental care.
